An open-source Chrome extension for a quieter X timeline. It hides marked advertisements and posts matching user-selected account-country, language and topic rules without inserting replacement cards.

Why it exists

A changing, virtualized timeline requires careful handling of recycled posts, asynchronous lookups and repeated content. Rules need to remain understandable while optional AI classification stays separate from the final hide decision.

How it works

The extension combines DOM observation, bounded queues, caching and country checks before optional language and topic classification. A Node proxy keeps the provider key out of the extension; user-defined thresholds determine filtering.

Usage & impact

Released as an MIT-licensed early version. Country lookup depends on X’s internal endpoints and may fail when they change. The launch artwork uses fictional posts to demonstrate the intended experience.
